Improve navigation so adviser can see all cases that relate to X applicants
Existing protection FF separates applicant 2 on their own, rather than in the joint application (without any information to where its saved)
When we key in existing protection policies, you can only see the policies for the person who’s name you selected to enter a fact find. But we need to be able to see all existing policies for both parties of a fact find. Otherwise its’ not practical to be flicking back and forth to different ‘case names’.
To try and summarise this, if I have Mr and Mrs Jones and I go into the fact find via Mr Jones. I can add existing protection policies for Mr Jones and also Mrs Jones. However, I can’t actually see the policy I’ve added for Mrs Jones unless I go back out of Mr Jones and then enter the fact find as Mrs Jones. Obviously that’s not good, we just need to be able to see all existing policies for a couple, relevant of which party you enter the joint fact find as.
Hi all,
We are currently making changes to the Protection experience in Smartr. This requirement has been approved and planned for later this year.
Keep an eye out for more comms to follow.
Thanks,

The same process applies to new protection cases created and for mortgage cases i.e. to be able to see other properties held in all applicants names linked to the case

When having a sharing a protection policy and then each applicant also has their own policy , there is nothing saying that the separate policy should somehow still be connected to that shared case, no matter what client i search for.

The terminology used in this section is not particularly client-friendly if they complete this section through Client Portal. Clients won't necessarily understand what DTA is so we need to call it something like Decreasing Life Insurance.

"...The protection experience in Smartr certainly needs to be improved asap. Another example, we should be able to see all protection policies under the case without having to go in and out of the name used to access cases with two applicants to see the single policies. If you guys can fix that also would be useful."

Where policies are submitted for a couple, whether single policies or joint i.e. Joint Life/CIC but single IPB it should be possible to view every policy without needing to adjust the case view from one applicant to another - at the moment if Mr & Mrs and Mr showing as applicant 1 you can only see joint policies or Mr policies. This could result in Mrs being missed when progressing cases/placing them on risk. Would also be hugely beneficial if Notes/Tasks for protection could be viewable no matter which 'policy' you are in at the time.
