Expenditure on Fact find is not streamlined to mirror Expenditure in sourcing so data has to be manually added for affordability check.
Mirror expenditure to sourcing data rather than adding expenditure miscellaneously. Utilities should be split into gas, electricity and water bills. Travel costs should be separate to Insurances and Fuel costs as not all people drive, but may use public transport.
Also when the fact find data is added, dont close it so you cannot see the breakdown.1 vote -
Having Childcare added to the Expentiture , as Educations seems like 5+, not nursery etc
There isn’t a specific box on the ‘Expenditure’ list to show childcare costs or nursery fees.
There is Education Fees but I would say from a client’s point of view, this more relates to school fees. The client’s never put childcare costs in on the budget planner as it’s not specific enough.
Maybe the Education Fees could have Childcare added to it as well?2 votes -
Expenditure to be more broken down more details ( same as lenders)
Expenditure to be more broken down more details (same as lenders) and should also cover things like if i have added in a existing life cover this should push into the expenditure as they have said i have this policy and am paying a premium on this. Same with if I have 3 BTL properties i get the choice to add this into my clients expenditure and this also doesn't show on the figure only in the key and net amount.

Pre-Filled Categories
The Fact Find should have categories already in the expenditure section so that customers when completing it online do not miss items e.g. food, gym memberships, council tax, water, gas, electricity, pet insurance etc etc. At the moment 99% of customers completing online do not fill in an accurate expenditure.
