Universal Budget Planner for Mortgages & Protection
The outgoings section should be a universal budget planner that can advise on the mortgage and protection. On another system there is the ability if it is a joint application you can remove one applicant to see if the mortgage is affordable if one person was no longer able to pay. If the answer was red/no this then would feed into an Income Protection conversation.
This feature idea is from a system called Midus but you have to be part of an exclusive network to get access to it.
80 votesHi all,
We recently launched the Financial Overview feature based on the Protection Adviser's need to see a high level view of the client's financial situation. We are evolving this feature to include more mortgage-related changes including the ability to add a Mortgage Budget, and improvements to our Income and Outgoings section.
Please speak to your CS rep or keep an eye out for more information.
Thanks,

Review & Filter Protection referrals
Potentially create an area on Smartr whereby we can filter through the historical referrals made to the relevant protection adviser. Can then also use the notes section on this to update on any progress, so both the advisor and protection advisor can track this a lot closer.

Improve navigation so adviser can see all cases that relate to X applicants
Existing protection FF separates applicant 2 on their own, rather than in the joint application (without any information to where its saved)
When we key in existing protection policies, you can only see the policies for the person who’s name you selected to enter a fact find. But we need to be able to see all existing policies for both parties of a fact find. Otherwise its’ not practical to be flicking back and forth to different ‘case names’.
To try and summarise this, if I have Mr and Mrs Jones and I go into the fact find via Mr…

Existing Cover auto created from Completed Protection cases
Where a Protection Policy status is updated to Completed user to be prompted to create an equivalent policy in Existing Cover. The prompt should enable the user to save the status and choose whether to select to update Existing Cover or not. If Yes is selected Existing Cover should be auto updated to create a policy with all details populated i.e. do you wish this policy to be created as a policy within Existing Cover.
This will avoid rekeying of data
Where the Policy status is amended from Completed/Inforce a prompt should be given to the user to delete the…6 votes -
Medical Questionaire
Can we have a Medical Questionaire that can be sent to the client at an appropriate stage of the Protection Conversation? This will allow us to speak to providers in advance about any medical conditions, getting an idea of potential loadings / declines.

Use income captured in Gross Total per Annum to pull through for protection solutions
Currently the population in sourcing when trying to make IP recommendations is that of the income captured in Gross Annual Salary and not Gross Total Per Annum.
This then means that you cannot recommend protection to the maximum amount that a customer needs to be able to protect as additional income such as bonus and overtime or allowances are not included.
Please can this be amended so that the income captured in Gross Total per Annum is that which pulls through to solution builder5 votes -

Having Vulnerable as a question in the protection FF and into the reports
we wondered if it would be possible to incorporate the vulnerability section into the protection Fact Find?
We believe it would be beneficial to have an option to mark ‘yes’ or ‘no’ regarding client’s vulnerability during the protection process and include any relevant comments. Having this feature in the Fact Find that would allow us to generate a report, similar to how we do for the mortgage side would be really useful.
Do you think this is something that could be implemented?

Make Non F2F mandatory text box for Protection
Make Non F2F mandatory text box for Protection, just like it is for mortgages.
I presume an assumption has been made that the adviser is both mortgage and protection licenses but in our business they are not. Therefore the protection advisers are also required to confirm how/when non-face to face meetings have taken place too which means a textbox should be mandatory on all LIVE/pipeline/in-flight protection cases too (not on those that have already completed).1 vote -
Administrator access to Solutionbuilder
Access to solution builder for an Admnistrator to allow them to quote for a specific adviser at the fim and then submit the application. Facility required that when Soltionbuilder selected it ask which adviser you want to quote for and then pre populates Solutionbuilder as it would if the adviser were doing the quotes.

Protection
When using the income to push through to SB, it only takes the annual gross salary, rather than any commission as well. This is bad as if I have a applicant who has a base of 40,000, but a commission of 15,000, this 15000 is not being included, which in turn is highly impacting the results with less.
