Using applicant's preferred name
The fact find asks what the Applicants are knows as, yet, when automated messages are sent by the system, that name is not used. Many people choose not to use their first names so why can't the system address them by the name they prefer?

Report query
When generating reports, the dates should be based on the completion date rather than the when the status was changed to completed otherwise it's completely pointless having a completion date tab. This has caused huge problems for us.

Add homemaker to drop down box for employment
Please can you add in HOMEMAKER as a dropdown option for partners/wives/husbands who don't work and are homemakers. The only option is unemployed at the moment is unemplooyed and this is technically not correct as a lender will decline a case where the client is unemployed. Thanks

default remortgage date
Currently the system requires the adviser to key in the date . Can this be defaulted to the recommended product end date with the ability to edit?

dependant's date of birth
Would that be possible to keep the dependant's date of birth on the fact find once the case has been created. Every lender asks for this details and those cases we put on the system 2 years ago and remortgaging now, this data is no longer visible there and it is so very annoying.

Bespoke System
Can the Smartr system be made bespoke specific to each firm. For example we do not deal with investment advice nor pension advice and we dont recommend Payment shield. Can these choices and tabs be removed from our system?

Self Emloyed income tidy up
Please could the self employed sections be updated to reflect what is required by lenders:
For sole trader the only information required is net profit.
For LTD company directors it is more complicated: We need Profit (Gross & Net), salary and dividend
the other fields just complicate and confuse the issue. It is important to add a notes section to the self employed section (why is this missing?) for those times where something else is needed.2 votes -

Additional statuses
Can we have additional statuses.
For example , not proceeding with - I know you amend this via the summary but showing the status as not proceeding would be good.

You should not be able to to Not proceed a case as easily as it happens, human error sometimes means cases are closed accidentally and we sh
You shouldn't be able to Not proceed a case so easily, human error dictates this is sometimes done in error and there is no going back. These cases should have the ability to be reopened (even if an explanation is needed). causes so much work to rekey and sort other stuff in the background - clients sometimes change their mind and if they come back we can't reopen cases
In addition there should be are you sure you want to close this case Yes/ No options as at the moment there is no fail safe.

Re-ordering Documents
Ability to rearrange order in Doc Store is a nice idea, but does not work! I put the documents in the order I want to see them, fine, but as soon as I add another document or amend the visible toggle it revert to the default setting again! I am having to constantly reset the order to the one I want

Add a tab to input the total repayment value on the mortgage information section. to allow it to pull through on the suitability letter.

Why have you restricted the drop down boxes so they only show 3 options at a time, it now takes longer to find and select the option.

Fact Find Additions
Would be great to have some additions onto the fact find that will correlate with entries required on Openwork Concert Hub platform and some lender applications:
For previous name, date of change and method eg. marriage/divorce/deed poll.
Smoking questions: Smoker/Non-smoker/Ex-Smoker and date given up. Required on protection apps too as well as Concert Hub.
Employment: Shares in business - applies to employed and self-employed. Typically if shares exceed 20% (depends on lender) lenders treat the applicant as self-employed regardless of actual status.

Existing Mortgages Update with proc Fees Box
In existing mortgages, there is no option to add the proc fees recd. We are forced to put a renewal date in future. As an adviser we would like to put into the CRM everything from past to present and to future. Please update your software accordingly.

Where an applicant is retired, it should be possible to 'flag' this as 'Primary Employment'

Breakdown of monthly expenditure in Financial Overview screen
Please can a breakdown of the figures used to make up the 'expenditure monthly' on the Financial Overview screen be provided as it's very difficult to work out how it has been arrived at. Is the ground rent and service charge on a let property included???
It seems to be double counting pension contributions (as they are often already deducted at source, but may still be listed in the pensions section by the client).2 votes
